Most electric hook up points are shared between two pitches too, so if you go over your allowance then it will kill your neighbours supply as well. I reckon your emphatic recommendation of camping hook-up cables versus domestic cables is misleading, electrical should be reconsidered. The devices you recommend may have IP44 hookup, but in my view they are not really safe. They are protected against splashes when nothing is plugged in, but as soon as you lift the lid on a socket and insert a plug you basically have a perfectly ordinary plug and socket situation, with no protection against water at all.
These sockets are the kind with a hinged cover over the plug sand a tight seal around the live parts when snapped shut. The RCD sits within the cover, too. Anyone who can replace a 13A plug can undertake this chore. There is no reason to accept less complete protection when camping. Hey Chris! Thanks for getting in touch. Their design alone assures that splashes from within the tent are much more unlikely to slip inside the sockets and the RCD is in all the recommended items in the piece. That way the cable was RCD protected, not just the socket strip. I put the socket strip in a large dri box so everything was IP44 or better even in use.
I used it the weekend before last and it worked great. I can store the cable in the Dri box when travelling or at home too. I think it is a safer set up electrical it did cost a bit more than an off the shelf hook up and took a little more organising too.
